The document below is the result of a joint project of many Marine Chemists, compiled and presented by Greg Grondin. This information was also presented at the 2004 Marine Chemist Association Sectional Seminars and at the Marine Chemist Association Annual Seminar in July 2005.
Diesel Fuel Exposure Matrix (This is an Adobe pdf document)
The first matrix provides guidance on the PPE that should be worn to protect employees from exposure to diesel mist/vapor, based on ACGIH recommendations. The additional matrices provide monitoring results for a variety of processes associated with diesel fuel on a variety of marine vessels.
